Born and raised in the Bahamas and now living in Austin, Texas, Summer Jane writes and performs songs shaped by experience, emotion, and an intimate sense of place. Her music draws heavily from country and folk roots, as the landscapes and communities that influenced some of her favorite musical artists reflect her own upbringing. Her strong, warm voice accompanied by a single guitar or a full band provides for a powerful style that invites listeners to sing along. 

 

Her sets unfold naturally, guided by mood rather than momentum. Whether the room is loud or quiet, Summer Jane plays with an attention to atmosphere, offering music that sits alongside conversation, food, and shared space. Her songs are meant to be felt more than announced. She moves easily between original songs and covers that have lived with her over time - drawing from artists like Fleetwood Mac, the Indigo Girls, Taylor Swift, Zach Bryan, Chris Stapleton, and Bob Marley. 

 

Growing up on a small island in the Bahamas, Summer’s musical performance experience starts at the very young age of 3 where she first performed in musical theatre. She went on to play hometown venues - bars, restaurants, marinas and clubs such as Capt’ Jacks, On ‘Da Beach Bar and Grille, Firefly Sunset Resort, The Inn and Marina Resort. 

 

Summer Jane recently released her first single “Bury Me In My Boots” (2026) and is currently working on expanding her discography and gigging presence in Austin TX. She is also currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Architecture where she continues to exercise her multi-faceted artistry.
